Diocesan Youth Day Sept. 26

Our Middle School Diocesan Youth Day is just around the corner! This new event for 6th-8th grade youth and adult chaperones in the diocese is happening at St. John’s in Newburgh Saturday, Sept. 27th, from noon to 6:00p.

The cost is $10. The day will include a lunch of burgers, hot dogs, chips, and cookies, as well as carnival games, yard games, live outdoor music, snow cones, keynote speakers, large group activities, and Eucharistic Adoration. The day will end with Mass at St. John the Baptist at 5:00p.

The afternoon will feature musician Lee Roessler. Lee’s original music has been featured as Catholic Heart Work Camp theme songs and an ABC Extreme Weight Loss episode. He currently travels the U.S. leading worship and concerts for camps, parishes, conferences, rallies, and retreats.

Youth at the event will also hear from speaker Jimmy Mitchell, whose gifts of storytelling and piano-playing bring him to every corner of the world. His greatest joy is helping others fall in love with Jesus. Whether he’s on stage at a Steubenville Conference, leading a parish mission in New Zealand, or interviewing a Grammy award-winning artist, Jimmy loves encountering God in the hearts of young people and artists.

Youth Minister Aubree Beyer is leading a group from Resurrection. If your middle schooler would like to attend, please contact her at abeyer@evdio.org AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!
