Mrs. Hoffman

Mrs. Hoffman is one of our 1st grade teachers at Resurrection! She previously taught 3rd grade here.

After staying home to take care of her four children, Mrs. Hoffman worked five years in the journalism field before deciding on a career change. She was working as a kindergarten aide at Resurrection when she decided to pursue a degree in education.

"Being a teacher has always been something I have thought about pursuing," Mrs. Hoffman said. "After having four kids of my own and experiencing the joy in teaching them and witnessing their learning, a teaching career just felt like the next natural step for me. To be able to share things like my love of reading and writing with students, and be a part of their academic growth, is so rewarding."

Mrs. Hoffman loves teaching at a Catholic school.

"It is beautiful to see my students grow in understanding of their faith, and to see it shine through in their actions, words, and praise at Mass," Mrs. Hoffman said.

Outside of school, Mrs. Hoffman enjoys taking walks, spending time with family, and watching her kids play sports. She and her husband, Andy, have four children: James, Will, Reid, and Harper.

Mrs. Elpers is one of our 1st grade teachers at Resurrection. She previously taught PreK here. She taught 1st grade here years ago and then worked part-time at St. Joe in Vanderburgh County for about 10 years before returning to Resurrection as a PreK teacher and now a 1st grade teacher.

"I love being back!" Mrs. Elpers said. "I attended Catholic schools myself growing up, so I love teaching at a Catholic school. And of course, the staff here makes Resurrection special."

Outside of school, Mrs. Elpers enjoys camping, boating, and going to the beach with her family. She is married with two daughters.
