Hear Dr. Schroeder's Parent Talk
Dr. Jim Schroeder, a pediatric psychologist and VP of the Psychology Department at Easterseals Rehabilitation Center in Evansville, is coming to Resurrection on Thursday, Aug. 21st to speak to students and parents.
Dr. Schroeder will present to our 6th-8th grade students at 12:45p in the church. Then, parents (of any aged students from any school) are invited to join him for a presentation that evening at 6:00p, also in the church.
His presentation is titled Left to their own Devices: How the Increasing Pressures of a Digital World Affect our Children’s Mental, Physical, and Emotional Health— and What Parents can do about it.
In addition to his clinical work and writing, Dr. Schroeder speaks frequently on the danger of early smartphone use among children and adolescents. Dr. Schroeder’s experience and perspective will equip us as parents to confidently address the challenges presented by access to constant internet and social media.
Dr. Schroeder graduated with a PhD in clinical psychology from Saint Louis University in 2005. In addition to seeing youth with a wide range of backgrounds and psychological issues, he specializes in evaluating and working with children and their families diagnosed with autism spectrum, learning, sleep, attention-deficit, and other developmental issues.
